PUNE : The  Maratha Kranti  Morcha which spearheaded movement for Maratha  reservation is highly critical of  ruling BJP – Shiv Sena alliance and it may call its supporters to vote against ruling party .

It seems that Marathas are angry with CM and state government .It can cost BJP and Shiv Sena  in Lok Sabha elections .While on the other hand Congress and NCP can gain out of such situation .In the  meanwhile some sections of press reported that Marathas may support Congress-NCP .

According to a report in Tribune India , Maratha organisations like Pune-based Sambhaji Brigade, which were part of the Marathi Kranti Morcha (MKM) that organised protests across Maharashtra in pursuit of reservation for the community have extended support to the Congress-NCP alliance.

“Though the Fadnavis government introduced 16 per cent reservation for the Maratha community in educational institutions and government jobs, criminal cases filed against thousands of our youths have not been withdrawn by the authorities,” Dr Shivananad Bhanuse, spokesman of the Brigade said.

The outfit, which is more known for carrying out an attack on Pune’s Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (BORI) some years ago, has announced it will field candidates in at least nine Lok Sabha seats and support candidates of secular parties in others.
