Protests Against Killings Of Rohingya Muslims Erupted In Many Countries

A protest was held at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi which condemned Myanmar government for genocide and asked Indian government to provide shelter to Rohingya Muslims

NEW DELHI : Huge protests against the genocide of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar erupted in different parts of   the world including  India  , Australia , Russia, Malaysia, Indonesia  .In Kuala Lumpur ,  lakhs  of protesters marched against the repressions of  Myanmar army against Rohingya Muslims .

A huge protest was observed at Jantar Mantar , New Delhi , today.The protest organized by an organization named “Peace Loving Indians “ saw  thousands of paticipants , including some Rohingya Muslim refugees staying in Delhi .The protesters raised slogans like , “Stop Genocide In Burma “ , Break Your Silence On Burma “.

An organizer of the protest Mohammed Waqar told media that brutal attacks on the Rohingya Muslims by Burmese army in the northern Arakan state of Myanmar is serious kind of pogrom ,and state terrorism .He said that military and police crackdown in that state has resulted in killings of hundreds of innocent people .He also said that from August 25 , the Burmese army , under the pretext of looking for  so called Bengali terrorists have been indiscriminately killing Muslims  , torching their houses , plundering their homes and villages .

The protesters asked Indian government to provide shelter to Rohingya Muslims.

In Kuala Lumpur ,thousands of Rohingya refugees who took shelter here also participated in the protest. A Rohingya leader said that many of those who attended the protests were those who lost their family member in brutal attacks of Myanmar army .These demonstrations are putting pressure Daw Aung Suu Kyi , the de facto leader of Myanmar who also got noble prize for peace .

In Indonesia, a woman protester Farida decried the world,”the world remains silent in the face of the massacre of Rohingya Muslims and this is criminal silence, “she said.

According to another news report Turkey asked Bangladesh to open its borders so that Rohingya Muslim  victims of Myanmar army’s atrocities can take refuge in their  country .
