Centre To Help Film Padmvati Release

NEW DELHI : The central home ministry first time expressed itself over the ongoing agitation , violence and threats against the release of film Padmavati .The MHA has said that it will extend full support to all states to maintain  law and order in relation to the ongoing controversy surrounding the release of film Padmavati .

The MHA is thus declared that it is ready to help the release of film Padmavati .The ministry asked the district administrations of all states to make any request for maintenance of peace and order and assured that such requests ( for additional forces from Center ) will be given full consideration .

The MHA clarified that the first respondents to the potential public order issues are district administrations and state police forces.”Any request for assistance as and when received will get the fullest consideration of the ministry, a MHA spokesperson said today .

But the experts expressed disappointment as ministry failed to issue directives to the states on the preventive steps to be taken by then.

The ministry also failed to ask for the reports from various states where violence has been resorted to and threats have been issued by violent mobs.

The Karni Srna and other organizations are openly inciting and spreading hatred , threatening the cinema houses of arson , but no offences has been registered .The law gives powers to the police officers to issue notices under sections of Cr. PC as preventive measures but no such notices have been issued .The procedures also suggest  that ban order must be imposed in sensitive areas but no such action has been taken anywhere in the country .This shows neglect on the part of administration and state governments , it is alleged .
